The Summer Intensive Formation Program offers training for those working toward their catechist certificate or other adults interested in learning more about their faith. Offerings include theological content classes, training in sexuality catechesis, and specialized training for Catholic School personnel on how to integrate a Catholic identity across the curriculum.
Courses begin June 1 and run through June 25 and range from 2 to 12 hours in length. Individuals can register for one course or many.
The Federation for Catechesis with Hispanics is creating great plans for this year: webinars, a newsletter, a new website, and building relationships with other organizations for Hispanic ministry. As an NCCL member, you can help by becoming a supporter of FCH.
Federation Colleague: Individual diocesan and /or parish catechetical leaders working with or interested in catechesis with Hispanics. Federation Colleagues are eligible to vote in FCH elections, hold office (after attending two consecutive pre-conferences), and serve on committees. Federation Colleague fee: $15.00 for the calendar year (2015).
Federation Advocate: Organizations such as: diocesan offices, publishers, educational institutions, religious communities and other national organizations vested in catechesis with Hispanics. Federation Advocates are eligible to vote, hold office (after attending two consecutive pre-conferences), and serve on committees. Federation Advocate fee: $100 for the calendar year. This includes up to 5 members of the Federation Advocate’s organization. Additional NCCL members may join as a Federation Colleague at $15.00 each. Pre-conference registration is free to Federation Advocates, if they contribute to the expenses of the Pre-conference gathering.

Are you being called to be a Catechetical Leader? Do you know someone that should be a Catechetical Leader? This year the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis is offering two Basic Formation for Catechetical Leaders (BFCL) sessions. One format is an intensive week (July 6-11) to be held at the St. Dominic Chancery and the other is six bi-monthly Saturdays beginning in October 2015 at Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood.
