Sacramental Conference 2015/Conferencia Sacramental 2015


Registrations are open for the 2015 Sacramental Conference.  There will be a keynote followed by three rounds of workshops in English and Spanish on different areas of sacramental formation.  The theme this year is “Sacraments and Evangelization.” Catechists of sacramental formation will specially benefit from attending, but all are welcome to the conference.  You may register online by following this link:

Workshop-Mobilizing Volunteers for your Ministry


The Center for Ministry Development is coming to the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to present a workshop on mobilizing volunteers for your ministry.  This will be a great opportunity to get ideas and strategies for recruiting volunteers for your ministry, and keeping them through support, affirmation and spiritual growth.

When:  August 4th @ St. Simon and St. Jude  9am-3pm

Confirmation preparation for persons with disabilities begins in September.

If you know someone that would benefit from this formation, please share the following: Confirmation preparation, designed specifically for individuals who have an intellectual/developmental delay, will be offered once again at St. Ignatius of Loyola (Spring, Tx). Candidates are to have already celebrated the Sacrament of Holy Communion, as well as their sixteenth birthday. Classes will be offered monthly from 3-5:00 pm on Saturdays; September 2015-May 2016.
