Join us as we launch our new Archdiocesan Curriculum

capture1

You recently received an invitation for our October 11 Professional Growth Day.  There have been questions so I thought I’d try to give more information.

As many of you know, the Cardinal promulgated the Framework for Life Long Catechesis.  This was “Stage One.”  If you attended the trainings around the Archdiocese you will remember we stated that the Framework was like a skeleton.

Stage Two is the creation of Archdiocesan Curriculum.  Cardinal DiNardo’s goal is that all parishes of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will be teaching from the same Curriculum.  Different publisher’s textbooks but the same Curriculum.

The October 11th PGD is the introduction to this new Curriculum that is being written and piloted.  There will be an explanation of the history, the why, the new language, and our plan for the future.  This important day is Part One.  Part Two will be March 29 and will concentrate on Curriculum for Childhood.

I have attached a flyer for your information. We hope to see all of you on October 11th.

“While many priests grapple with budgetary concerns and a desire to fill pews, Father Bedrossian is wondering where he’s going to find the resources to house the next Syrian refugee who shows up on the church steps.”   Read the entire CNA article.  http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/a-priest-and-his-love-for-syrian-refugees-94805/
