Archdiocesan Catechetical Modules Brought to Area Parishes

As stated in the Pastoral Manual, “parish catechetical leaders should encourage their catechists to enroll in the Archdiocesan Catechist Formation Program with a view toward having all catechists receive a [full] archdiocesan certificate.”  Additionally, the OEC has heard the PCL’s requests to make the Modules more accessible.  Therefore, we are bringing the Modules to the parishes.  Last year, we took them to the east side (St. Joseph in Baytown) and to the west of Houston (Epiphany in Katy).  This year we are bringing them to the north and south areas of the archdiocese. These modules will be offered on Saturday, April 29th at St. Laurence in Sugar Land.  The four modules being offered are Enculturating Catechesis, Vocation of the Catechist, Family: The Domestic Church and Intro to Catechetical Framework.  To register, go to http://archgh.cvent.com/catmod2016-17.
